🦉A wizard with a dilemma
Happy Friday, adventurer!
I hope you had a good week.
I arrived home safely from Valladolid after my first solo driving adventure to an event.
To be honest, it was a quest that scared me a little, but I got through it with almost no injuries.
For whatever reason, lifting two 25 kg suitcases above your waist when you're not in shape can lead to muscle pain.
In Valladolid, many subscribers came by to say hello and keep me company during the event.
And I'm going to tell you about one of them today. Because I'm here to tell you a story about how you can affect the work that Saúl and I do in the workshop.
Let's add some context.
Let me introduce you to Juan, who has been reading our newsletter practically since the beginning. He is also part of our routine, as we often write to each other sharing our role-playing anecdotes.
Well, it turns out that Juan came to see us in Valladolid, and he brought a great gift with him.
A volume of his Blacksad game that he told us about a long time ago. And right now, Saúl is devouring it.

I'm already looking into how I can make a cover for it and bind it so that it's well protected.
I've told you many times that I love it when my fellow adventurers bring me little gifts. They are little treasures to me, (well, in this case, huge treasures).
I am in a dilemma.
Juan didn't just bring us valuable artifacts.
He brought us knowledge.
These past few weeks, besides giving you a lecture on how to start making dice, I also asked you what you would like to see in our next D&D character sheet.

¿Do your remember this first prototype?
The original design consists of three parts: your character sheet, spell book, and campaign log.
The latter part includes sheets for NPCs, for sessions, and at the end, a few pages like a bullet journal for drawing maps.
I want it to have everything the player might need in the game.
Well, Juan came to us with a very interesting proposal.
What he felt was missing from the notebook, in the NPC section, was a space to draw maps or characters.
He sent us these reference images.

Sorry for the notes in spanish 😅
And honestly, after thinking about it, we realized that it made a lot of sense to have spaces for notes, maps, and drawings.
But now I'm not sure if these spaces are more useful in the NPC section or in the session logs.

On the one hand, I would love for NPCs to have space to draw small portraits, for example.
But on the other hand, I think it might be more useful to have space to draw maps in the session logs.
What do you think? Where would you prefer to have space to write down whatever you want?Should we add that space on both sides?
For now, I'm going to prepare lots of DM screens for Bilbao. See you in two weeks!
P.S.: We found a supplier for the notebook, so I hope to be able to show you the new design soon.
Successful quests and better rolls,
