🦉Happy anniversary!

Greetings, adventurer,

Yes, you read today's newsletter headline correctly.

It's our anniversary!

It's been a year since we began this adventure with you, and it has brought us a lot of joy.

So, to celebrate, today I want to talk about something that is very important to me and that was very evident at Japan Weekend Convention last weekend.

Connecting with people.

With you and this community, but also with other incredible artisans and artists.

All of this nourishes my creativity and motivation to keep creating things and writing to you every week about the ideas that come to mind.

There are more and more of us!

This week, I was able to put faces to many of our readers and reconnect with regulars at events who were willing to go on a quest to find my booth (we were in a very strange location).

There, many adventurers told me that we are part of their routines and our emails are part of their Fridays. Some read us on the bus, others during their lunch break... but it fills my little artisan heart to see that our emails are part of your Friday routine.

But what's more, some adventurers came with gifts.

Héctor and María gave me this family of owls that they had lovingly printed at home.

I hope my mini painting skills are up to par.

They're perfect for my first game of Daggerheart using the Quickstart available on the website.

Another really nice detail about this event was that a mother bought her ten-year-old son his first DM screen.

Role-playing games are guaranteed for future generations too!

It's great to see so many readers at events, as it's sometimes a little difficult to gauge the real impact of my small mailing list.

The party that explores together stays together

I'm not going to lie to you, traveling so much to events is quite stressful and overwhelming, especially at first.

I was lucky enough to meet several incredible artists over the years who helped me get started in this world.

And yes, we all need help to get started.

Last week I told you about Breo and Solombra, the party druids and two incredible friends who go to events with their van and a lot of art.

But you know that every self-respecting magician has a mentor who guided them in their early days on the path of the hero.

Well, mine was Depelusis, a dice maker who taught me in my early days how not to despair when faced with lots of dice covered in bubbles and sticky silicone.

At his booth, you can find vampire dice sets, role-playing jewelry, and even tiny, tiny dice.

I had my teacher, and I am delighted to return that favor to the community. So, you know, if you want to learn either as a hobby or to sell, here I am, ready to answer your questions (post coming soon on getting started in dice making...).

Akaii Neko is a super powerful sorceress who, even though she doesn't want to admit it, has multiclassed a couple of barbarian levels.

If you've seen me in person, you may have noticed that I usually wear huge earrings with butterflies, little plants, and lots of magical things.

They're all from my dear friend, who also works with resins and 3D printing to create fairy-tale jewelry that's plating-proof (officially tested by me).

For a community with more adventurers

In short, as this newsletter is getting really long.

Thank you very much.

Not only for supporting my business by buying my products.

For coming to say hello at events.

For taking the time to write to me and tell me about your games.

For letting me sneak into your routine every week.

This year is going to be full of challenges for me, but we'll keep you posted on all the drama as usual every Friday.

Hold on tight, there are bumps ahead!

Successful quests and better rolls,

🦉Irene The Wizard
