🦉Help me create my new set of dice.

Christmas is coming, and I don't know about you, but I'm already starting to think about gifts for my friends and family... and for someone very special.

Before this sounds like “me, me, me,” I'm actually telling you because I need your help.

If you've talked to me at events, you may already know this.

I'm a dice artisan without my own set. Embarrassing, I know.

But that's about to change, and I'm going to do it with your help.

I'm going to introduce you to a very special character to me, and I want to hear your ideas about what dice would suit her.

That way, every time I roll the dice, I'll remember this community of crazy adventurers we're creating.

Okay, I'm in. Which character is it?

A year ago, I said goodbye to this character after ending my addict... after finishing my first playthrough of Baldur's Gate III.

And I want to create a set of dice to commemorate my mage Orianna.

Orianna is a tiefling illusionist wizard who decided to write her thesis on the incendiary possibilities of Fireball in different environments.

I won't bore you with a long and tragic backstory: she was a student at BG, and her life as an adventurer really begins with the events of Baldur's Gate III.

Orianna is a noble and empathetic character who was sometimes overcome by impulsiveness and recklessness when it came to saving her companions or discovering new things.

To give you an idea, Orianna would have had a big dilemma choosing between helping her companions escape from an Observer or staying behind to take notes.

I'm sure you get the picture, now comes the fun part.

Help me with the Grand Design

If this were a commission for you, I would ask you what dice designs you have in mind.

So let's figure this part out together.

I want you to tell me what ideas, elements, or techniques this character suggests to you.

I really like the idea of this project being something we do together, and every time I roll my dice, I remember the wonderful community we are creating.

Next week, I'll show you three prototypes that try to incorporate all your suggestions. So it's very likely that you'll see your proposals captured in resin, even if they don't end up being the final version.
