I stole Mozart's Requiem
And burned a cathedral in the process
Fearless Friday, adventurer!
I’m enjoying this more relaxed time of the year to play some more TTRPGs.
Last week, Saúl ran an adventure in which a crew of thieves and a medium stole Mozart’s Requiem… during his funeral.
This ended up in an epic scene in which we had to use music to calm a tornado of soul-stealing ghosts while St. Stephen’s Cathedral was ablaze.
It was tense, it was audacious, it was great. But above all… It was new!
Drive you character like it’s a stolen car

The setting is amazing, although we ran this session in an alternate version of Wien in 1791.
Name of the game: Blades in the Dark.
Something I love about it: The flashback system allows the flow of the game to not get stuck on analysis-paralysis. Fuck around and find out. And if what you’ve found out is a problem, activate a flashback to solve it!
A fond memory I have: Saúl told us that each of the characters needed a nickname. In a matter of three minutes, we had amazing and fleshed out characters, just from the nickname!
Mine was Madame Guillotine, a French court musician on the run after the Revolution that used her luthier knowledge for creating gadgets suited for stealing. Of course, all these gadgets are hidden under the crinoline of her dress… One day I’ll show you an illustration!
You’ll like it if you enjoy: Dishonored, Ocean’s Eleven, driving your character as if it was a stolen car.
Bountiful quests and successful rolls!
