Luck knocks at your table
Who is invoking it?
Lucky Friday, adventurer!
Today you are going to meet someone special.
I’m going to introduce you to Lady Luck. Our Smiling Lady.
I will also tell you how and why I will honor her magnificence.
But first, who is she?
Luck favors the bold
Even if you don’t know it, this is probably your battle cry.
It’s the one used by Tymora’s followers, the Godess of Good Luck in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons.
This may sound weird. You don’t think of yourself as a Tymora worshipper. Why am I saying this?
Well, there’s a detail about Tymora that usually gets overlooked. One I find of extreme importance.
Tymora is also the Goddess of Adventurers.

How to honor a God
Being an adventurer, I’d like to honor her.
So I’ve been thinking.
Ares, Greek god of war was honored with weapons and battles.
Bacus, Roman god of fertility and wine was honored with that same wine and… partying.
How can we honor Tymora, Goddess of Good Luck?
At our table, there’s someone who does.
Vianthe is a Tymoran cleric who always carries a coin with the face of her goddess.
The player also carries a coin. A “Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Physical Edition” coin. Hey, you’ve gotta make do with what you have.
The thing is, every time there’s an important decision and the best option is unclear (for example, which path of the dungeon should you take) she calls heads or tails and interprets the result as a design of her godess.
Interesting way of honoring the Godess of Luck.
How could I do it?
Well, I have an idea.
Maybe you are thinking the same.
Let’s try.

A dice set!

Did I put that 20 on top or was it Tymora’s hand?
As you can see, its colors are the ones associated the the Smiling Lady (one of Tymora’s many names).
The orange of a promising sunrise.
The bright yellow of accomplished dreams.
Tymora’s priests encourage people to follow their own dreams.
If you spend your days planning your future, it will arrive before you have accomplished them. You have to leave some things to chance.
And that’s what I did with these dice.
These were the first ones where I tried a new techique with shining paper, without knowing how it was going to turn out.
However, Lady Luck was by my side because I had taken my chances, and they turned out amazing!
If you want fortune to smile on you, they can be yours.
But not today.
Why?
More risky decisions
Last week I told you I’m casting a great portal.
Where is it headed?
To a treasure chamber worthy of its contents.
It’s called The Wandering Vault. Nobody knows exactly where it is.
It appears and disappears.
Opening a portal there for everybody on the newsletter takes up a lot of energy.
But it will be worth it: It contains designs that will never be repeated.
I still have to prepare the spell. I dont’t want anything to spin out of control.
Next week I’ll tell you more about it. The Wandering Vault is brimming with surprises!
Bounitful quests and successful rolls!
