🦉Adventurers eager to learn wanted!

Welcome, adventurer!

I hope you've had a good week. For me, it's been a little haven of peace before the storm.

Today I'm here to tell you what's new for the coming months and how you can help me.

Because this time I need your wisdom to help a craftswoman in need.

But I'm also here to offer you my knowledge when it comes to undertaking role-playing projects.

Read till the end!

A bumpy ride

I already mentioned this in my previous post, but the truth is that I'm going to be super busy this year.

To start with, I'll be traveling throughout March, so if you happend to be in Spain take note of where you can find me .

Valladolid Comic and Manga Fair March 7th and 8th

Japan Weekend Bilbao March 21st

Japan Weekend Alicante March 28th and 29th

(Starting on the 30th, you'll find me passed out in bed and absolutely nowhere else).

It was about time…

Now for the most important and terrifying news (drum roll, please).

We're finally launching a Kickstarter for D&D character notebooks!

Do you remember these old cuties?

I'm not going to lie to you, it's a huge project and right now we're struggling to find a printer capable of working with the format we're looking for.

That's why I need your help, whether it's feedback from having used the notebook or suggestions for content or accessories you'd like to see included with the notebook.

We hope to be able to officially announce it in May and launch it in June, so between now and then I'll be bugging you about it from time to time.

We told you about it almost a year ago, and since then we've changed quite a few details based on the feedback we've received from the community and our own experience using the notebooks in games.

We've added Wire O binding and a hard cover to make it more durable.

We've included some missing content boxes and adapted them to D&D 2024.

We've translated it into English and Spanish, so you can choose your language on Kickstarter.

And for the campaign, we're also preparing a bunch of super juicy rewards with Kickstarter-exclusive dice and screens and special packages to suit all kinds of groups.

So don't hesitate to tell us your wishes for this project.

Dicegwarts opens its doors

I promise this will be my only painful reference to Harry Potter.

Quite a few people have told me they want to start making dice at home but don't know where to start.

That's normal. Making dice is a lot of fun once you get the hang of it, but the truth is that it has a very difficult learning curve at the beginning.

My first dice set 3 years ago.

So I'm here to put my magical wisdom at your disposal. After all, the magic of my guild is learned through trial and error and a lot of studying, that's just how it is.

Starting next week, I'm going to begin a series of three emails dedicated to how to get started in the hobby and not die trying.

So, stay tuned next week and let your friends know to sign up if they want to learn.

I'll do one a month, but I hope that on their own they'll give you a thread to pull on, and it'll give me time to answer questions and create the next posts based on those questions.

Because yes, please, I don't bite. If you have questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

When this series is over, I'd like to keep this format of talking about DIY role-playing projects once a month and exploring the processes in a more educational way together.

Nothing would make me happier than to share your creations here.

So don't hesitate to write to me and tell me what you'd like to learn.

As you may have noticed, I'm being ambitious this year.

To be honest, I'm biting my tongue a lot, my head is full of ideas.

But all in good time, because those ideas have to go through Saul's boring filter of "how are you going to do that? What's the deadline for this? Where are you going to get a roleplaying kitten?

Mi mi mi mi ... details.

For now, I'm going to bury my nose in potions and paintbrushes again to prepare for my travels.

Successful quests and better rolls!
